I was asked to take a few shots of the choir my husband has recently joined after their recent concert at Little Comberton Church, Pershore, Worcestershire.

One should never disclose a lady’s age, but I do have to ask you all to come close whilst I whisper that this gorgeous lady celebrated her eightieth birthday last weekend. She looks absolutely amazing for her age and has such energy and enthusiasm for life!

I had a great time spending the afternoon photographing the guests and the AMAZING afternoon tea. The table was groaning with scones, chocolates, petit fours, cupcakes, sandwiches… It was a very civilised affair and I wish you, Victoria, a very happy Special birthday. Really hope you like the images.

I’m sure people reading this that have children will appreciate how quickly time goes – the newborn days turn to sitting-up days, which turn to toddling days, then preschooling days, then school etc. etc. Before we know it our children have grown up in front of eyes, but what I love about being a photographer is being able to capture those moments. Our children change so much – especially in the first year.

Arturo is 6 months old and his personality is now coming through. He’s strong and quite stubborn, funny and delightful. When he’s on his tummy he flies like a skydiver, and when you tickle his chest he does the most adorable chuckle.

I will be back to do shots of him again in 3 months and then 3 months after that. I am so pleased that Sabrina and Alex have asked me to document his first year like that – a perfect memento.

I did an impromptu photo session this morning for some friends visiting Worcester. They have a 6 month old, Amy, she is a total poppet – very chilled, really smiley, was happy with me going completely OTT making her smile etc etc. A model child, basically! And the best bit is that apparently she isn’t a great sleeper, and I get to hand her back to her parents! Claire & Chris thank you so much for letting me snap away, really hope you like the results.

I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to take photographs of Butlers in Holt – I grew up in Norfolk and the restaurant is owned by our good friends.

It was a real pleasure not only to steal a few days away in my favourite place in the world, but also to be given the opportunity to photograph such a gorgeous restaurant, and see beautiful dishes being created. The whole team there were so patient with me moving tables, asking for things, getting in their way – thank you to you all but especially Ruth and Sean. I really hope you like the images:

My friend and her sisters clubbed together to buy Steve a family photoshoot for his 40th birthday (what a great gift!). We finally managed to schedule the date (despite him being Very Nearly 41) and I had a lovely afternoon snapping Claire-Lise and Steve and their 2 very beautiful children.

These are two of the most gorgeous boys around: Gianluca, 2 years old – funny, cheeky, happy, clever, gregarious, totally gorgeous… Arturo, 3 months old – smiley, alert, interested, laughing, rolling, so lonnnng, totally cute.

It wasn’t easy getting shots of both of them together, but I just look at them and smile…

I had the pleasure of photographing a local family this weekend. 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 13 days to 15 years – a really fun challenge! Coming from a big family myself I love all the hustle and bustle of children running around the place & the laughter of sisters together, it was a great atmosphere. I am thrilled to be able to share some images from my current venture. The managing director of Toyella, an online toy shop, approached me after seeing my pictures up at Boston Tea Party. He was looking for someone to photograph his fantastic range of toys and I am absolutely thrilled that we are working together.

Their range of toys is fabulous; really amazing quality, unusual toys that I haven’t seen anywhere else. My wish list is getting pretty extensive! It’s such a pleasure to photograph such great items, it really makes a change from doing portraits, as much as I love them!

A 6 week exhibition of approximately 20 of my photographs starts tomorrow at Boston Tea Party in Worcester. This is a really big deal for me, not only because it’s my first exhibition but also because Boston Tea Party holds a really special place in my heart: my grandfather used to live in Bristol and he spent many many hours reading the paper at the Park Street branch, and it was with his inheritance that I bought my very first SLR. Funny how things work out like that.
