One should never disclose a lady’s age, but I do have to ask you all to come close whilst I whisper that this gorgeous lady celebrated her eightieth birthday last weekend. She looks absolutely amazing for her age and has such energy and enthusiasm for life!

I had a great time spending the afternoon photographing the guests and the AMAZING afternoon tea. The table was groaning with scones, chocolates, petit fours, cupcakes, sandwiches… It was a very civilised affair and I wish you, Victoria, a very happy Special birthday. I’m sure people reading this that have children will appreciate how quickly time goes – the newborn days turn to sitting-up days, which turn to toddling days, then preschooling days, then school etc. etc. Before we know it our children have grown up in front of eyes, but what I love about being a photographer is being able to capture those moments. Our children change so much – especially in the first year.

Arturo is 6 months old and his personality is now coming through. He’s strong and quite stubborn, funny and delightful. When he’s on his tummy he flies like a skydiver, and when you tickle his chest he does the most adorable chuckle.

I will be back to do shots of him again in 3 months and then 3 months after that. I am so pleased that Sabrina and Alex have asked me to document his first year like that – a perfect memento.
